Go-Jek started as a motorbike-taxi online hailing service, but has since diversified into food delivery, one-hour courier delivery, grocery delivery, aggregated trucking services, and numerous other platform services.


Go-Jek partners with hundreds of thousands of drivers across the Indonesian archipelago, all of whom collectively cover an average distance of more than 7 million kilometres each day.  GO-JEK is now the largest food delivery company in the world outside of the China market and with 40 million app downloads, it is becoming one of the most widely used services in Indonesia today.


We are looking for an experienced Research professional to join our growing team at Go-Jek.  The Research team provides key insights to aid in the developing and execution of product design, marketing and communication, and overall operational and business strategy.  This requires a combination of strong technical research capability complemented by strong business acumen and organizational prowess. The ideal candidate has the ability to balance both numeric and creative skills, is a strong communicator, and works well in a cross-functional, team-oriented structure.

This role will sit within a group focused on Research Excellence, where the person will be responsible for establishing best practices and methods for the entirety of the Research team and for external stakeholders as requested.


The ideal candidate:

  • Has 5-8 years experience or more in the field of Survey Research
  • Is deeply knowledgeable and experienced with survey or polling methodologies
  • Has a proven track record of designing, executing, and sharing survey research results
  • Has expertise using Research panel suppliers both offline and online
  • Has deep expertise in DIY research platforms such as Typeform, Survey Monkey, Qualtrics, etc.
  • Understands key concepts related to CPI and other cost-related metrics to conducting research
  • Can identify biases from different research techniques and advise to avoid them
  • Is an expert in statistics as they apply to quantitative research methods
  • Must speak English and preferably have secondary language capability (Southeast Asia)
  • Must be currently residing in Singapore or Indonesia
  • Must have experience working across the Southeast Asia Region

Role objectives:

  • Consult with Research team members in each vertical to ensure consistency and quality of survey design across entire Function.
  • Build best practices for sample and survey design to be applied for to all business sectors.
  • Identify tools to adopt to improve analysis and presentations from survey research.
  • Manage survey platforms and vendors to ensure quality, data integrated and investments.
  • Be the resident expert on building Northstar metrics that are based on sound methodology.
  • Provide training and coaching to the rest of the team pertaining to survey research methods.
