Events Specialist

As an Event Specialist, you will be responsible for ALL Events - internal and external ones at GO-JEK. External ones will include core technology events directed at developers and conferences GO-JEK is a part of. Internal ones include People Team related activities such as offsites, internal communication etc…


A strong understanding of the various tech events in India and where GO-JEK can play a key role in to improve brand visibility is a must.


The role will require good coordination and creativity to help bolster GO-JEK’s brand image for an external audience.


External -  (Tech Meetups, Conferences)

Internal - (People Team related activities including Internal Communication)


  • End-to-End Tech Conference Management – Hosted by others & GO-JEK Sponsored.

    • Organize Tech meetups & conferences in our office and drive traffic to attend the event end-to-end

    • Pre-event Preparations – (Logistics: Branding for Kiosk, T-Shirts, Travel)

    • Key liaison between client, event managers, in-house designers and other 3rd party vendors leading up to the event, ensuring that branding at the venue is adequate and event requirements are met

    • Plan and propose workflows for every event internally and externally to drive maximum traffic.

    • Supervise and manage all suppliers and contractors working on

    • Logistics management and inventory control of all equipments, materials and any other items

    • Cost effective planning of events – End-to-End Planning of the event
      (Ex : Documentation, Checklists)

    • Should be able to coordinate work even on weekends - applicable for events and meetups that happen on weekends

  • People & Culture team events – Add value as a culture champion – (Eg: Anniversary events for teams, offsites)  

    • Liaison with HQ on Employee Branding – Weekly updates on New Joinees

    • Liaison with Opts & Design , Internal communication Vendors

    • Managing an Event calendar – Periodically communicating through internal communication channels about events across 3 offices.

    • Sourcing Skills – Packages, Hotel deals, Negotiating best rates etc…  

    • Maintaining an account of all expenses, jobs undertaken, work completed and submitting it to our Finance Team.
