What is the role about?

This role will provide you a unique opportunity to build & shape the strategy that GO-JEK employs across Asia. You will be responsible for tackling complex problems new to the tech space. Working with diverse leaders, you will guide our expansion strategy, craft our competitive roadmaps, and lead our intra-organization planning efforts.


Collaborating across senior stakeholders, it is essential that you command strong communication skills. Leveraging business intelligence data, market insights, and your creativity, you will play a key role within the business. In the Marketplace space, we’re looking at supply & demand balancing, the efficiency of our car & motorcycle platforms, and how pricing can be a competitive advantage.  

With any high-growth business, this will be a fast-paced and dynamic environment.


What you will be doing?


  • Complex Problem Solving - Leveraging world-class data systems, you will analyze initiatives to inform key business decisions. This may include international expansion, competitive strategy, and cross-functional planning cycles.
  • Strategy Shaping - Build, maintain, and communicate a detailed strategy for GO-JEK. You will be asked to help leadership tackle key problems. You’ll often be the first person to deconstruct a mission-critical problem, design a solution, and pitch it to teams.


    • Building GO-JEK’s Path - We’re supporting transportation, food and item delivery, and much, much more. Help us shape the business and our journey.


  • Build Strong Relationships -  Engage and empathise with business teams, engineers and product managers, and our executive team. You will not be successful without building trust with your stakeholders.
  • Regional Coverage & Communication - Covering Southeast Asia will require strong digital communication (think emails, Whatsapp, web conferencing) and occasional travel.



What you’ll need to succeed?

    2. Fast & Agile: Ability to excel in a constantly changing and rapidly growing workplace.
    3. Communication: Strong communication skills. You know how to build trust, set goals, and get things done. You aren’t afraid of using whatever channel (face-to-face, email, Whatsapp) is required.
    4. Strategy Experience: Strategy is an art, not a science. We would like someone with experience in designing strategic initiatives. Suitable backgrounds could include management consulting, strategy and planning, change management, and many others.
    5. Data-Driven Outlook: When making decisions you leverage technical resources and data to support hypotheses. You can take the basics of data and draw insights from it. Life without Excel terrifies you. SQL, R, Python experience is a plus.


  • Language:  Fluency in business-level English is a must. Bhasa, Vietnamese, Thai, or Mandarin/Cantonese would be a bonus.
  • Required Experience: You’re comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and you have a proven track record of creating and communicating plans within an organization. You manage diverse stakeholders with ease.


    1. You are an expert in Microsoft Office & Google-Suite products.
    2. You have at least a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
    3. You have 3+ years in a professional role in a relevant field.
